Born in the heart of the wild, my art is deeply rooted in the beautiful, untamed landscapes of South Africa. From my childhood spent exploring the bush to my studies in Fine Art and design, my work reflects a lifetime of experiences.
Whether I am capturing the essence of wildlife, botanicals, or people, each piece tells a unique story. Explore the gallery and shop, and let the journey of creativity and nature inspire you.
My life has always been shaped by three profound influences: Africa, the smell of oil paint, and beautiful music. Together they create the perfect blend in my world. I grew up in the African bush, spending endless days immersed in the wildlife of KwaZulu-Natal. My adventures were boundless – riding horses, fishing, swimming in the river, and sneaking up on white rhino – these experiences shaped who I am today.
My childhood was also surrounded by two remarkable grandmothers – one an artist, and one a musician. They nurtured my creative side, and I spent countless hours in my grandmother’s art studio, learning and drawing. It was here that I began painting and drawing everything I could imagine – sometimes even on her oil paintings!
With an education in Fine Art, majoring in painting and art history, I later worked as a graphic designer for seven years, immersing myself in the world of design and advertising. In the late 1990s, I joined our family safari business, where I spent time travelling between safari camps, looking after international guests, and creating marketing materials.
In 2017, I made the decision to focus more on my art, embracing it as my full-time career. Since then, I’ve received positive feedback from fellow artists, art shows, and collectors, both locally and internationally. Although I’m still involved in the safari industry, I spend most of my time in my studio, creating pieces that bring joy to others. I live in the beautiful KwaZulu-Natal Midlands with my family, two jack russells, and a feisty goat named Blossom Cream-Cheese.
