A Versatile Creative Approach

Art for me is about versatility and variety. With my Fine Art background and experience in graphic design, I’ve cultivated a flexible artistic style that allows me to work across different subject matters and techniques. Whether it’s a realistic portrait, a contemporary landscape, or a vibrant botanical, my goal is to capture what excites me at the moment. I describe myself as a bit of a chameleon in my art, adapting my style to that special something a client is looking for, or what inspires me at the start of a new piece.

The Joy of Experimentation

I embrace the joy of experimentation – whether through unplanned brushstrokes or discovering beauty in the unexpected. My work is simple and clean, with a focus on the contrasts of light and shadow, and the subtle beauty found in imperfections.

What excites me most is capturing the essence of my subject matter – whether that’s a person, animal, or landscape.

Drawn to Detail and Form

I’m particularly drawn to the striking features of animals, especially the eyes. The delicate nature of plants like aloes and succulents is also close to my heart, as well as the complexities of the human form. The fluidity of water and its ever-changing reflections continually inspire me. I am an Impressionist at heart, always searching for beauty in fleeting moments.

Recognised Yet Ever Curious

My work is displayed in both local and international collections, and I am honoured to be featured in the book “Fragile – our world in reflection through poetry and art” by Athol Williams. I remain ever-curious, always eager to learn, explore new techniques, and create pieces that capture the essence and rhythm of the natural world in its many beautiful forms.
